Cross Keys became the first side to defeat Bedwas on their own patch in the league this season after a hard fought victory on Friday night.
The Keys dominated the first half and crossed for the opening points of the game thanks to a try by Ryan James after around 20 minutes which fly half Dean Gunter converted.
Keys had Dean Gunter sin-binned after an offense at the breakdown but Bedwas were unable to make their one man advantage count as Keys defence held out despite coming under increasing pressure.

Bedwas started the second half stronger than Keys but once again The Keys defence was outstanding and kept the home side out.
After 52 minutes Keys extended their lead when replacement Dorian Jones kicked a penalty. Shortly after this Bedwas got themselves on the board thanks to a penalty kicked by Dragons' outside half Lewis Robling.
Dorian Jones restored the Keys 10 point lead with a second penalty. but Bedwas kept chipping away at The Keys line and were rewarded for their efforts when centre Scott Williams pounced on a lose ball to get the home side's first try of the night and ensured a tense ending for all concerned. Lewis Robling unsuccessful with the conversion.
The Keys who were led superbly from the off by skipper Rob Nash held out and deserved the victory for a dominant first half performance together with a great defensive effort in the second half.
