Llanelli condemned Keys to their second defeat of the season and frankly Keys can be pretty happy to have gained a losing bonus point.
Keys were second best in every aspect of the game as the home side constantly took advantage of the needless penalties Keys conceded
The scrum was a complete mess from start to finish with neither side able to get the better of referee, Jon Mason's overworked whistle.
The home side's outside half, Jonny Lewis kicked all of his sides points with four first half penalties. All Keys could manage in the opening 40 was a single penalty by Dorian Jones.
Although it could have been more had Keys scored when a try looked inevitable after a long period of pressure. But a try wasn't to happen as Llanelli's defence held out.
Half time score: Llanelli 12 - Cross Keys 6
In the second half Keys were the only scorers thanks this time to replacement fly half, Dean Gunter's straight forward penalty with 5 minutes to go.
This game promised so much and delivered so little as Keys were unable to string anything of any note together. When they looked like they may create opportunities they were either pulled back by the referee's whistle or would needlessly lose the ball cheaply.
Keys lost second row Scott Andrews to a serious knee injury early in the first half and had Garry Horrigan sin banned following a scuffle with his opposite number, who also saw yellow.
Man of the match for Keys was number 8 Adam Powell who had an excellent game. Also standing out for Keys on a bad day at the office was openside Scott Matthews and full back Gareth David.
