Cross Keys end a 3 month period away from home on Saturday when they
host Carmarthen Quins in the final match of this season's Principality
Premiership campaign.
The Keys are now definitely out of the
running for the play offs following Llanelli's victory over Newport last
Sunday but a bonus point victory on Saturday could see Keys finish the
season in 4th place depending on various other results.
The Quins
themselves were in the running for the play offs up until a few weeks
ago and have once again enjoyed a good season, sitting in 6th place, 5
points behind The Keys who are in 5th place.
Back on the 3rd of
November on a dour day at The Park, The Quins deservedly defeated Keys
with a dominant second half performance in-particular paving the way for
a 14 points to 3 success. Dorian Jones gave Keys a 3-0 half time lead
with a penalty before the Quins came back strong in the second half with
a Jason Harries try and 3 penalties by James Dixon to give them the
victory.
Hopefully the conditions will be a little different for
this encounter at Pandy Park and the result will also be the opposite
to what it was back in November.
The Cross Keys team selected for
Saturday's game can be seen below and includes Dragons' pair Nathan
Williams at prop and former Keys favourite Jevon Groves at number 8. On
the bench is Dragons' Academy prop Luke Garrett and hooker Luke Harwood
on permit from Tredegar whilst another promising youngster Angus O'Brien
starts for Keys for the first time at fly half. The side is captained
by prop Anthony 'Vinny' Lott with Rob Nash on the bench.
